The Minima team, which develops L1 solutions, has announced its collaboration with the British automaker McLaren. As part of this partnership, the world's first blockchain-based DePIN racing data recorder was developed and installed on the Artura GT4 supercar.

Functionality of DePIN Tracker

The latest equipment collects key data on the operation of all machine components in real time. This tracker allows you to identify problems in equipment right during the race, which helps to troubleshoot problems in a timely manner. For example, thanks to the system, it was possible to find a problem related to the turning radius of a wheel. The blockchain registrar played an important role in detecting and solving this technical anomaly.

Data Analysis and Protection

The tracker analyzes 20 different parameters, such as:
- Temperature
- Oil pressure
- Ignition
- Braking
- Angle of rotation
- Gear shifting and others

McLaren representatives emphasized that a high degree of data protection and confirmation of its authenticity play an important role when servicing the car. This system also helps to increase the resale value of the vehicle, since the buyer can be confident in the accuracy and reliability of the vehicle's usage history.

McLaren Race Lab Team Manager, Oliver Plucknett, said: “Blockchain technology is widely used across all major data-driven industries, and motorsport would be left behind if we did not begin to explore the wide range of benefits it provides.”

Support from Influx Technology

The integration of the blockchain tracker was made possible thanks to the support of the Web3 project Influx Technology. This collaboration has successfully implemented cutting-edge technology into a racing car, providing more accurate and reliable data collection.

As a reminder, self-driving technology developer Cruise recently launched “controlled” robotaxi trials in Phoenix, USA, which also demonstrates the growing influence of advanced technologies in the automotive industry.

Thus, the partnership between Minima and McLaren not only promotes innovative solutions in motorsport, but also opens up new horizons for the application of blockchain technologies in various industries.
