Japanese investment company Metaplanet recently announced plans to purchase approximately $6.3 million worth of Bitcoin. This announcement generated significant interest in the financial markets and led to a noticeable increase in the company's share price.

Metaplanet announced that it will issue 1 billion yen (approximately $6.3 million) in bonds to finance the purchase of bitcoins. The bonds will have an annual interest rate of 0.5% and mature on June 25, 2025. Payments on these securities will begin on June 26, 2024.
