Tether, the leading issuer of the USDT stablecoin, announced a strategic partnership with the Vietnam Blockchain Association (VBA) to develop educational programs and support blockchain technologies in Vietnam. This cooperation is aimed at strengthening the position of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies in the region, Tether said in an official statement.
Role of Vietnam Blockchain Association
VBA is a key player in standardizing and promoting blockchain technology in Vietnam. The Association actively organizes educational and informational events, promoting the development of the cryptocurrency market in the country.
Vietnam ranks third in the world in terms of cryptocurrency market volume, second only to the United States and Great Britain, with a capitalization of almost $1.18 billion. According to data, about 17% of the country’s population actively uses cryptocurrencies, which makes the region attractive for the development of digital financial technologies.
As part of its partnership with VBA, Tether plans to hold a series of educational conferences in major cities in Vietnam, including Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. These events are designed to deepen students' and professionals' understanding of blockchain technologies and stablecoins.
UniTour and youth support
Tether will also support the UniTour program, which is aimed at developing talent in the field of artificial intelligence and blockchain among students and young professionals. This initiative will promote professional growth and career opportunities in the technology sector.
In addition to educational activities, Tether will support the VBA SwitchUp Accelerator, providing guidance, investment opportunities and expert assistance to Web3 startups and projects.
