Argent and Kulipa in partnership with Mastercard will release a crypto card

Crypto wallet provider Argent has announced a partnership with payments company Mastercard and blockchain startup Kulipa to launch an innovative crypto card. The new product will use advanced technologies to provide convenient and secure cryptocurrency payments.
Cooperation with Mastercard and Kulipa
Argent, known for its decentralized financial solutions, has partnered with Mastercard and Kulipa to create a crypto payment card. This product will be powered by zero-knowledge (ZK) proof technology developed by the Starknet network team. This will ensure high security and efficiency of transactions.
The crypto card will allow users to make payments in stablecoins such as USDC from Circle and PUYSD and USDP from Paxos. Transactions will be automatically converted into fiat currency, eliminating the need for merchants to integrate additional tools to accept crypto payments. This makes the process of buying and selling using cryptocurrencies as simple and convenient as possible.
Technological features and innovations
Argent is known for its wallet focused on DeFi protocols and has over two million users. The Argent wallet supports the Starknet Layer 2 network on the Ethereum blockchain and has implemented account abstraction technology, which allows wallets to function as smart contracts. Argent CEO Itamar Lesuisse emphasized that the new debit card will use ZK technology to provide low-cost, fast and secure non-custodial transactions.
Kulipa support and development
Kulipa, founded in 2023 in Paris, is developing a non-custodial wallet platform for issuing crypto cards. The startup recently raised $3 million in a seed round led by Fabric Ventures and White Star Capital. White Star noted that the use of stablecoins for payments is growing rapidly, but has not yet reached a wide audience.
Kulipa supports stablecoin transactions on several blockchains, including Ethereum and its second layers, as well as Solana. The startup was also included in Mastercard's latest Start Path incubation program, confirming its potential and importance in the blockchain technology innovation space.
Argent's partnership with Kulipa and Mastercard to issue a crypto card opens up new opportunities for the use of stablecoins in everyday payments. The new card promises to make cryptocurrency transactions more accessible and convenient, which could help further the spread and adoption of cryptocurrencies around the world.
