GOAT Network Economic Model and Solayer Mainnet Launch

GOAT Network, a project that operates on the second layer of Bitcoin and uses decentralized followers and BitVM2, has published its economic model in a “beige paper”. The paper describes the economics of the network and its solution to provide sustainable yield in Bitcoin. The team claims that their model solves the problems of security and limited yield by using decentralized followers with reward distribution. Thus, the platform provides sustainable yield in Bitcoin for cryptocurrency holders.
GOAT Network uses decentralized followers, BitVM2, and zkVM technologies, which allows it to inherit the security of the main Bitcoin while meeting the diverse financial needs of investors. The paper details two main methods for Bitcoin holders to participate in the followers.
Solayer Restaking Protocol Mainnet Launches
Solana-based restaking protocol Solayer has launched its mainnet. The move comes a week after receiving support from Binance Labs. Solayer offers decentralized cloud infrastructure on Solana, collaborating with partners such as Bonk, AltLayer, SonicSVM, and Hashkey Cloud. Solayer’s system provides Solana dApps with the ability to contribute network bandwidth and computing power through staked token exchanges, improving the efficiency and reliability of the network. The focus is on Solana-native dApps, allowing them to efficiently manage staked tokens and prioritize transactions.
Wormhole Plans to Improve UX/UI and Simplify Deployment
Wormhole, a cross-blockchain interoperability platform, has unveiled an updated roadmap. According to the project team, “Wormhole Era3” will include significant improvements to the UI and experience, as well as a new set of products aimed at simplifying application development and deployment. Wormhole also plans to offer a solution for institutional players to integrate into the crypto ecosystem.
Cronos zkEVM Launches on Alpha Mainnet
Cronos Labs has unveiled Cronos zkEVM, an Ethereum-based Layer 2 network that is now live on Mainnet Alpha. In collaboration with Matter Labs and Crypto.com, the network expands the Cronos ecosystem by introducing $zkCRO as a gas token. The network supports a variety of DeFi, NFT, and gaming applications, and offers a Pioneer program to incentivize network participation. The alpha phase will run until September 2024.
Lumia Raises Strategic Investment Led by Laser Digital
Lumia, a project billed as a “hyper-liquid” Layer 2, has announced it has raised strategic funding led by Laser Digital, the digital arm of Nomura. The funds will be used to develop innovative liquidity infrastructure and integrate real-world assets onto the blockchain. Lumia uses cutting-edge technologies such as PolygonCDK, NearDA, and EigenLayer AVS to create its own liquidity network and decentralized followers.
Hamcaster Launched on Ham Chain
Ham Chain, layer 3 of Coinbase Base, has launched the Hamcaster app, which is a social finance platform (SocialFi) built on Farcaster. The app allows users to monetize their Farcaster accounts and participate in the Ham social ecosystem, which already includes a social ranking system and daily rewards system.
