Billionaire Kamala Harris supporter and longtime crypto investor Mark Cuban says he would buy social media platform X from Tesla founder Elon Musk if he had the chance.

Mark Cuban Would Buy X from Elon Musk in a "Perfect World"

In an interview with Wired, when journalist Lauren Goode asked him if he would consider buying the Musk-run social network "in a perfect world," Cuban said yes.

"I would," Cuban said. "There's no reason he [Musk] would sell it."

Calling the platform "a very strong right-wing community," the former "Shark Tank" star has been vocal on X, often endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

"Hey @elonmusk, First off, congrats on Polaris. That's a truly amazing accomplishment," Cuban wrote in a Sept. 15 X post. "Second, if you have any questions about any of @KamalaHarris' policies or approaches, I'd be happy to tell you what I know. In exchange, I hope you'll do the same for the Republican nominee. AMA."

Cuban, perhaps best known for his prescription drug cost-cutting service Cost Plus Drugs, has even called Harris a "pro-business" candidate.

In a July interview with Politico, Cuban said Harris could be "more open" to digital assets.

"The feedback I'm getting, which hasn't been confirmed by the VP, is that she's going to be much more open to business, AI, cryptocurrency, and government services," Cuban said. "Changing the policy changes the message and makes it clear that she's open for business."

The Race Between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris Heats Up

The former attorney general has remained tight-lipped about his overall stance on digital assets, raising concerns in the crypto community.

Meanwhile, Republican candidate Donald Trump appears to have strengthened his ties to the blockchain sector during the campaign.

This week, the former TV star and his family launched a new crypto platform, World Liberty Financial (WLF), a day after a second assassination attempt on the former president at his Mar-a-Lago home.

At the time of WLF’s announcement, Trump warned that American crypto entrepreneurs would “live in hell” if he lost the election in November.

However, with Harris maintaining a slim lead over the Republican nominee in national polls, it remains unclear who will occupy the Oval Office.
