Parbho said that if elected in 2025, she intends to make Bitcoin legal tender and then completely replace the Surinamese dollar with it. Her program also includes the abolition of the central bank, tax cuts, privatization of public services, and the issuance of Bitcoin bonds.

The politician emphasizes that the country's financial infrastructure is in decline. According to her, government agencies use outdated tools like Excel to manage the currency, and the capital market is virtually non-existent. She is confident that the use of Bitcoin will become the basis for a new economic system free from the mistakes of the past.

For Parbho, this move is also connected with the fight against corruption. Her father, businessman Vainod Parbho, was killed, probably because of the transfer of data on illegal financial flows. The money was funneled through the country's largest bank to a US bank and used to finance armed groups. The investigation into the case resulted in Parbho's family losing all their savings, and she says the court was bribed.

Parbho is inspired by the example of El Salvador, where Bitcoin became the official currency under President Nayib Bukele. El Salvador has implemented digital initiatives, including buying cryptocurrency with public funds and mining it using renewable energy. These measures, according to Parbho, have helped improve the economy and reduce crime.
