This was announced by Emmanuelle Suissa, Director of Partnerships Development, noting that the new payment method became available thanks to cooperation with Binance and the French payment platform Lyzi.
The Binance Pay payment solution is used to implement the project, which provides the ability to pay in bitcoins (BTC), ether (ETH), as well as stablecoins EURI and USDC. Customers can choose any of the supported cryptocurrencies based on their preferences.
“We are proud that Printemps has become the first department store chain in France to offer such innovative services. The partnership with Binance and Lyzi allows us to meet the needs of modern customers by implementing Web3-based solutions,” Suissa emphasized.
We will add that France is already using blockchain in various fields. For example, in 2022, authorities announced plans to introduce the technology to sell tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
