Formula 1 and Crypto.com, a platform founded by Kris Marszalek, have extended their partnership until 2030, according to a press release on December 19.

The collaboration, which began in 2021, will reportedly focus on creating unique fan experiences at key stages of the championship over the next five years.

“Our sport has changed significantly since we began our partnership with Crypto.com in 2021,” said Formula 1 Chief Commercial Officer Emily Preiser. “We are delighted that they are staying with us until 2030 and look forward to their new initiatives to engage fans through on-track activations.”

The partnership has brought growth to both parties. Formula 1 has attracted an audience of 1.5 billion viewers per Grand Prix during this period, and Crypto.com has surpassed 100 million users worldwide.

“Formula 1 was one of our first global sports partnerships and a key driver in strengthening our brand,” said Stephen Kalifowitz, Crypto.com’s chief marketing officer. “We remain confident in the future of cryptocurrency, and our partnership with Formula 1 will help continue that momentum.”

The partnership renewal coincides with a major milestone for Crypto.com, which is preparing to implement a new development strategy called Roadmap 2025.

Earlier this week, CEO Kris Marszalek visited Mar-a-Lago, where he met with President-elect Donald Trump. The meeting reportedly included discussions on creating a federal reserve of bitcoin and developing crypto-friendly regulatory policies.

In a post on December 16, Marszalek posted a photo with Trump, captioning it: “An honor to be at this negotiating table.”

Donald Trump, who previously launched his own crypto platform World Liberty Financial, has repeatedly stated his intention to support the industry. “There will be regulation, but the rules will be written by people who love your industry, not hate it,” he noted at the Bitcoin 2024 conference.

Thus, the partnership between Formula 1 and Crypto.com not only strengthens the positions of both parties, but also becomes an important part of the development of the cryptocurrency industry at the international level.
