Users have created over 6.3 million meme tokens on the platform, with a total market cap of over $5 billion, according to Dune. The total number of unique addresses associated with Pump.fun is around 10.8 million at the time of writing, with trading volume reaching $3.44 billion over the past two weeks.

However, out of the 1.2 million tokens launched, only 14,026 (1.16%) have managed to enter the Raydium decentralized exchange by December 2024.

The platform's co-founder, alon, summed up the first year of work, highlighting the following achievements:

1 Over $1 billion in SOL is locked in liquidity pools.

2 Over 70% of the top 50 tokens have an AI-related theme.

3 Some meme tokens, such as FARTCOIN, PNUT, and GOAT, have been added to major exchanges.

4 The project team has grown to over 80 employees.

At the same time, he also mentioned the difficulties the platform faced. Among them are one hack, a FUD attack, and the need to disable the streaming function due to abuse by the community.

“Pump.fun has become the largest crypto social network offering users a wide range of financial and entertainment opportunities. We have gone beyond creating meme tokens: now startups are using the platform to obtain liquidity and attract users ready to experiment with new products. Major updates are expected,” alon noted.

Despite its success, the platform has also been plagued by legal issues. In January, New York-based Burwick Law announced it was preparing a lawsuit against Pump.fun on behalf of investors who suffered significant losses on meme tokens.
