According to Bitcoin ATM Radar, Poland has become the fifth country in the world with the largest number of Bitcoin ATMs, behind only the United States, Canada, Australia, and Spain. On January 27, 10 more devices appeared in the country, bringing the total number to 219. Over the past four months, 24 new crypto ATMs have been installed in Poland.

The United States with 30,780 devices and Canada with 3,062 remain at the top of the ranking. Australia, which surpassed the 1,000 crypto ATM mark in April 2024, rounds out the top three.

El Salvador, which previously held third place in the ranking, has now dropped to sixth place. After a rapid rise in October 2022, when the country took the third place, the number of ATMs in El Salvador has dropped to 215.

There are about 38,100 crypto ATMs in the world, located in 65 countries and serviced by 356 operators.

While crypto ATMs do not play a decisive role in the spread of digital assets, they make it easier for investors to access cryptocurrencies. However, regulators often seize the devices, claiming that they are used for illegal activities such as money laundering and terrorist financing.
