Cardano CEO Charles Hoskinson said he recently had a “productive conversation” with Aptos co-founder Avery Ching. According to him, the two sides discussed the possibility of working together on blockchain initiatives and regulation in the US. Ching also confirmed his interest in collaborating, noting that such efforts could help the industry grow.

While specific details of the partnership remain unclear, the dialogue between the two projects came to light shortly after Aptos representatives met with Acting Chairperson of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Caroline Pham. The CFTC, along with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has been actively discussing a new approach to cryptocurrency regulation in the wake of the change in US administrations. Regulators intend to take into account the opinions of market participants when developing regulatory initiatives.

The CFTC recently announced a forum dedicated to testing stablecoins in financial transactions. Key industry players will participate in the discussion, including Circle, Crypto.com, MoonPay, and Ripple. Ching’s meeting with Pham may also be related to this process.

Speculation around upcoming Charles Hoskinson meetings

Meanwhile, interest is growing in the Cardano community about possible talks that Hoskinson may hold later this month. After a series of hints during a recent Q&A, rumors have emerged that he is preparing to meet with influential figures in the crypto industry.

Hoskinson has only fueled the speculation by noting that he has several important discussions scheduled. Avery Ching has been mentioned as a possible candidate for the meeting, but many community users believe that it could be a meeting with Elon Musk.

Interest in such a scenario is explained by the fact that Cardano could be attracted to Musk's initiatives related to the use of blockchain technologies in public administration. In particular, his Agency for Government Effectiveness, created during the presidency of Donald Trump, is considering digital solutions for optimizing budget spending.
