USDT issuer Tether has announced the acquisition of a minority stake in Juventus Football Club. According to CEO Paolo Ardoino, this move is part of a strategy to integrate digital assets into everyday life.

“Let’s make Juventus great again 🦓,” Ardoino commented, hinting at possible changes and new opportunities for the club. The press release emphasizes that the collaboration is aimed at developing innovative initiatives and transforming the sports industry.

“We will explore new partnerships and contribute to the evolution of the global sports landscape,” the Tether CEO added.

Adidas, insurance group Allianz, and crypto investment platform zondacrypto are currently among Juventus’ key partners. The club already has experience interacting with the blockchain industry: at the end of 2019, it issued its own fan tokens based on Socios.com.

It is worth noting that Tether ended 2024 with a record net profit of $13 billion, which underlines the company's sustainability and its potential for new investments.
