According to the head of CryptoQuant, 2025 will be the year of selective growth for altcoins. Joo emphasized that cryptocurrency projects that can attract institutional investors, especially through ETFs, have a much better chance of success. He also noted that most tokens will not survive this cycle, since they do not have sufficient fundamental value.

His forecast came amid significant market fluctuations: Bitcoin temporarily fell to $88,200, and the fear and greed index reached 25 points, indicating extremely negative investor sentiment.

Senior analyst at IntoTheBlock, speaking to Cointelegraph, drew attention to large-scale liquidations, especially of assets such as Solana. He noted that the total crypto market capitalization has fallen to $3.13 trillion, which may signal capitulation of market participants.

At the same time, Redstone COO Marcin Kazmierczak emphasized that some altcoins are showing price recovery despite low user activity. In his opinion, this indicates an early phase of the market cycle. He is confident that sustainable growth will begin later, when the number of active market participants increases.

CryptoQuant experts previously warned about a potential transition of Bitcoin into a bearish trend due to a decrease in investors' willingness to take risks.
