Ethereum Foundation Announces New Leadership Appointments

As of March 17, the leadership of the Ethereum Foundation will be transferred to Xiao-Wei Wang and Tomasz Stanczak. They will take on the tasks of developing the foundation and its ecosystem. Aya Miyaguchi, who has led the foundation for seven years, will now take on the role of president.
Wang has been a longtime member of the Ethereum Foundation, specializing in Beacon Chain research, and is actively developing the community in Taiwan. Stanczak previously led Nethermind, a company that works closely with Ethereum.
The shared leadership model has sparked discussions among community members. Stanczak explained that the foundation’s governance structure is more focused on collective decision-making than a model with a single CEO. According to him, the key directions are formed by Vitalik Buterin and Aya Miyaguchi, and the strategy is developed by the entire team. Wang and Stanczak will focus on supporting the foundation and the ecosystem, operational decision-making, and interaction with the community.
Each of them will receive a certain degree of autonomy, but at the same time will work closely with the team. This will allow ecosystem participants to interact with the leader who best suits their needs.
One of the leading researchers at the Ethereum Foundation, Danny Ryan, co-founded the Etherealize project with Vivek Raman. The new initiative is aimed at attracting large financial players, including hedge funds and investment companies from Wall Street, to the Ethereum ecosystem.
Raman will focus on working with the financial sector, while Ryan will be engaged in adapting Ethereum for the real economy. “We are on the threshold of a new stage, when the blockchain becomes an integral part of the global financial system,” Ryan said.
Crypto influencer DCinvestor noted that this move opens a new era for Ethereum, where the ecosystem does not simply react to regulatory changes, but actively participates in their formation. He also named Ryan as one of the top three technical specialists of Ethereum.
The Etherealize project plans to participate in the development of regulatory policy and the development of Ethereum at all levels - from the core protocol to application solutions.
