According to Mark Jennings, head of Gemini's European division, the company is expanding support for dollar transactions for institutional clients from the EU, as well as users from Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. He emphasized that the innovation will relieve clients from the need to convert funds into euros or pounds sterling, which will speed up payments and reduce commission costs.
The function is implemented using the xPulse instant transfer service from Bank Frick and the infrastructure of Gemini itself, which operates under a license.
Earlier, Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss said that the SEC had completed its investigation into the exchange and would not take any enforcement action against it.
