The developers of TON Space have implemented a new feature that allows you to use Telegram Stars to cover network fees. This innovation is aimed at improving the convenience of working with cryptocurrencies for Telegram users and expanding their capabilities when purchasing digital goods in mini-apps.
The head of The Open Platform Andrey Rogozov noted that paying fees via Stars will contribute to the popularization of the TON blockchain, ensuring simple and smooth transactions.
The integration of the mechanism is based on the analogy with Battery in Tonkeeper, where a prepaid balance is used to automatically cover fees when needed.
Recall that in December 2024, TON Space completed beta testing, having surpassed the mark of 100 million accounts.
Earlier in the summer of the same year, TON and Tonkeeper developers implemented support for gas-free transactions as part of the new W5 Smart Wallet standard.
