Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has reached an agreement to buy the NinjaTrader trading platform for $1.5 billion.
As stated in the company's statement, this acquisition will strengthen its status as a cutting-edge technology platform operating around the clock and focused on professional traders.
"This transaction marks the first step in creating an institutional platform that will allow trading of various assets at any time," the official statement emphasizes.
Founded in 2003, NinjaTrader specializes in providing tools for futures trading and is registered with the CFTC.
Earlier in March, Bloomberg sources reported that Kraken was considering entering the public market in the first quarter of 2026, given the changes in the regulation of the cryptocurrency industry in the United States.
