Musk Explains Difference Between State Department D.O.G.E. and Dogecoin Cryptocurrency

“I was originally going to call it the Government Efficiency Commission, but it sounded too boring. The Internet suggested D.O.G.E. Although their names are similar, they pursue completely different goals. At D.O.G.E., we aim to make the government system 15% more efficient,” Musk explained.
Musk’s statement did not cause a significant reaction from Dogecoin investors. According to CoinMarketCap, the price of the memecoin has fallen by 4% over the past 24 hours. This drop is in line with the general trend in the cryptocurrency market, where leading altcoins have also shown a decline of 3-5%.
However, in January, after the official D.O.G.E. website launched, the Dogecoin logo was displayed on the main page for several hours, which led to a short-term increase in the value of the memecoin by 14%.
Earlier, Senator Elizabeth Warren spoke in Congress criticizing the GENIUS and STABLE stablecoin bills, arguing that they could give Elon Musk the opportunity to establish control over the US financial system.
