In recent days, the Internet has been filled with rumors about the alleged imminent cooperation of Ripple and the interbank platform SWIFT. The main object of speculation has become the possible integration of XRP Ledger into the global financial infrastructure. However, there are no reliable facts confirming this yet.

Ripple is indeed promoting its solutions in the field of cross-border payments and is already cooperating with a number of banks. After the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) terminated a lengthy lawsuit against Ripple, the company has strengthened its presence in the field of traditional finance. One of the steps was the acquisition of the brokerage firm Hidden Road for $ 1.25 billion, as well as the launch of its own stablecoin RLUSD.

These actions have given rise to new rumors about the possible integration of Ripple technologies into SWIFT. Crypto enthusiast John Squire drew attention to numerous hints in the press and from anonymous sources that suggest that Ripple could become part of the SWIFT infrastructure, which serves more than 11,000 financial institutions around the world.

According to him, a possible official announcement of the partnership could radically change the attitude of institutional players to XRP and significantly increase its capitalization. However, most analysts are skeptical. Ripple's participation in testing distributed ledger technology (DLT), mentioned in SWIFT reports, does not mean direct cooperation.

Additional arguments used by supporters of the partnership theory include XRP's compatibility with the international ISO 20022 standard, as well as hints from SWIFT partner companies such as EastNets. However, neither Ripple nor SWIFT have made official statements on this matter.

Thus, although such a merger could be an important step towards the convergence of cryptocurrencies and traditional finance, at the moment there is no reason to believe that this partnership is actually in the process of implementation. For now, it remains only an assumption based on individual facts and indirect signs.
