The American weekly magazine TIME has added two cryptocurrency firms to the list of the top 100 companies of 2023
TIME magazine included sidechain developer Polygon, Polygon Labs, and blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis in the top 100 most influential companies of 2023. According to the published list, Polygon Labs has been included in the top innovators of 2023. The magazine believes that the developer of the Ethereum network sidechain helps to promote the blockchain to the masses. In particular, it is noted that it was thanks to Polygon that companies like Starbucks and Nike were able to enter the blockchain market.
The analytical company Chainalysis is located in the list of top pioneers. According to TIME, it was thanks to Chainalysis that the radical Islamist organization Hamas (recognized by the US, Canadian and EU authorities as terrorist) refused bitcoin donations, citing persecution of donors. The magazine also notes the role of Chainalysis in the investigation of the collapse of the controversial crypto exchange FTX.
There isn't a single company on TIME's list that deserves a mention through metaverse innovation or non-fungible tokens (NFTs). At the same time, back in 2022, the American magazine included four companies in the field of virtual reality at once: Meta*, Together Labs, The Sanbox and Rec Room. At the same time, the American magazine included three businesses that have advanced in the cryptocurrency industry in the list of top 100 breakthrough companies: : Paxful, OpenSea, and Sotheby's (due to the hype around NFT auctions).
TIME claims to have compiled the list of companies in 2023 taking into account various factors, including the impact of the business on the public, its innovative solutions, the company's ambitions and success.
