The analytical platform Glassnode reported that the number of addresses with more than 100 BTC has increased slightly and amounted to 18,026 as of April 20. Glassnode experts paid special attention to the so-called whales - investors with portfolios of over 10,000 BTC. According to analysts, they are the ones who continue to increase their positions despite the fall in the market value of the cryptocurrency. This type of behavior indicates their confidence in the long-term potential of Bitcoin and possible future growth.
According to analysts, the current behavior of whales resembles periods in the history of the crypto market, when increased accumulation of coins preceded significant growth. This may indicate that professional market participants are ready for a new upward cycle.
Glassnode also emphasizes that the activity of large holders against the backdrop of a falling rate is a positive signal indicating sustainable confidence in Bitcoin. An increase in the share of large investors in the market structure can strengthen its foundation and increase stability in the long term.
In addition, the report provides data on increased interest in Bitcoin from a wide audience. According to The Block, in March, the number of search queries for "Bitcoin" on Google reached 34 points - this is the highest value since the beginning of 2025. Such an increase in user interest may also become an indicator of awakening demand from retail investors.
Thus, despite the fall in prices, the overall picture is in favor of a probable resumption of bullish dynamics in the market. The behavior of large investors and the growing interest in Bitcoin among Internet users indicate that the market is preparing for the next significant moves.
