On April 28, Web3 company FSL, behind the popular STEPN app and the GMT token, announced the launch of the global payment platform GMT Pay. The new service was implemented jointly with MasterCard and allows you to use GMT and GGT tokens to pay for goods and services in any country where a MasterCard card is accepted.

The idea of creating such a tool arose several years ago, when Web3 payments still seemed distant and unrealistic. Today, users can earn cryptocurrency, for example, by jogging in the STEPN GO app, and then spend it in regular stores thanks to integration with GMT Pay. According to one of the founders of FSL, Yaun Rong, this is an important step in the development of Web3, which helps to overcome the boundary between digital and real space.

Additionally, the company introduced a new line of GMT Pay gift cards in denominations of $50, $100, $200 and $300. These cards can be used both in online stores and in physical points of sale where MasterCard is accepted. Moreover, the card can be connected to such popular digital wallets as Apple Pay and Google Pay. The company emphasizes that the service is available to users all over the world.

FSL CEO Shiti Manghani noted that the launch of GMT Pay is a logical continuation of the desire to introduce Web3 technologies into everyday life. According to her, the new payment instrument makes digital assets more convenient and accessible: now users can easily convert their virtual income into real purchases, which was difficult to imagine until recently.

Thus, FSL is taking another step towards combining cryptocurrency solutions with traditional financial instruments, providing users with a new level of freedom and versatility in managing their funds.
