This partnership will create new opportunities for users through DeFi applications and wallets.

As part of the collaboration, Ethena and the TON Foundation plan to integrate their products with popular non-custodial wallets such as TON Space and Tonkeeper, as well as with the Telegram custodial wallet and other applications in the ecosystem. The goal is to improve solutions for trading, savings and lending, as well as increase accessibility and convenience for users.

An important part of the integration will be the ability for Telegram users to access the sUSDe token in the tsUSDe format, which will be native to the TON network. This will ensure convenient use of the stablecoin directly in the messenger, without having to leave the platform.

For tsUSDe holders who use non-custodial wallets, there will be an additional 10% annual interest with weekly payouts in TON. These bonuses can be up to 10,000 coins per address. There will also be the option to stake USDT through the USDT Earn storage with additional rewards from Ethena, which will provide additional benefits to users of the Telegram ecosystem.

Ethena Labs representatives noted that their solution will be similar to those used by large companies such as Alibaba and Tencent with their digital money market funds. For example, at their peak, these companies had deposits worth $265 billion from 850 million users. However, the new partnership promises even more favorable conditions in terms of APY for sUSDe, which will allow users to earn additional profits compared to risk-free rates.

The integration is scheduled to launch in May, and the developers will notify users of the exact timing and phases of the update rollout. This move will further strengthen Telegram as a Web3 platform and allow users of the messenger to engage in various financial transactions directly from the app.

Earlier, in April 2025, TON President Manuel Stotz announced Telegram's path to becoming a "Web3 super app", including the introduction of new payment solutions to improve the user experience.
