"The motivation of players who started with farming was to make a profit. However, when these games turn into entertainment, communication with friends and participation in team activities becomes important," he emphasized. Despite this, Alexander Plotvinov is confident that the wave of Telegram games played a role in the popularization of Web3, although it did not bring significant social effects, as expected.
At the moment, Telegram games are gradually moving away from the idea of simply earning tokens. In new projects, coins no longer play a leading role, but become only an additional element of gaming. According to Plotvinov, there are no "real games" in Telegram yet, but this may change in the future. He also noted that the Telegram platform still has a way to go to become a full-fledged ecosystem for gaming, similar to Facebook or WeChat, which have long created their game worlds.
Ulyana Salo, head of design and product at NotGames, added that Telegram, despite the lack of major publishers and investors, continues to develop and expects the gaming industry to grow rapidly.
