Almost $5 million for a VIP ticket to dinner with Trump

WIRED journalists found out that the average amount spent on attending a gala dinner with Donald Trump in the VIP category was about $4.8 million. The minimum cost of a ticket to the event started at $2 million, but 25 people who wanted to get exclusive service and access to privileges invested several times more.
A user with the nickname Sun was at the top of the leaderboard. As of the morning of May 12, his cryptocurrency wallet contained about 1.4 million TRUMP tokens, the total value of which exceeded $19 million. This data made him the main figure of the upcoming event.
An interesting detail was revealed by The New York Times journalists: despite the fact that the selection of participants was based on the average number of TRUMP tokens over three weeks, some finalists used cunning methods. At least 17 of the 220 winners sold their tokens before the final day, clearing their balances but keeping the average high. This allowed them to beat out other contenders without having to hold on to their assets until the end of the competition.
Organizers warn that attending the dinner does not guarantee a meeting with the president. In the event that Donald Trump is unable to attend or the event is canceled, attendees have been promised rare Trump NFTs in exchange.
The event, dubbed the “Cryptocurrency Gala,” is scheduled for May 22 at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington. The event has attracted both cryptocurrency fans and supporters of the current president, uniting them in an unusual race for access to a personal meeting.
