The BitMart cryptocurrency exchange announced the inclusion of the NKN (New Kind of Network) token in its listing. Token transactions will become available on May 16, 2025.

NKN is a decentralized network protocol developed with open source code. Its goal is to create a more efficient and secure alternative to traditional Internet infrastructure using the principles of blockchain and peer-to-peer networks.

The key idea of the project is to combine unused Internet resources of users, such as bandwidth and connections, with the help of tokenized motivation. Thus, the network becomes more distributed and resilient to overloads, which makes it attractive for both private users and businesses.

The protocol is based on a unique consensus algorithm - Proof-of-Relay (PoR). Unlike classic models such as Proof-of-Work or Proof-of-Stake, PoR rewards network participants for active data transfer. This not only stimulates honest behavior and support of the network, but also directly affects its performance and stability.

The NKN network already includes a number of solutions and products based on its own decentralized architecture. Among them are a content delivery system (dCDN), secure VPN services and alternative messengers that provide users with an increased level of privacy and autonomy.

The NKN token, issued according to the ERC-20 standard, is used within the ecosystem as a unit of account. It serves as a reward for participation in data transfer, and can also be used to pay for services within applications developed on the platform.

Listing on BitMart can contribute to the growth of interest in the project from investors and users, as well as expand NKN's presence in the global crypto market.
