Between May 13 and May 22, 2025, Semler Scientific purchased 455 bitcoins, spending about $50 million on this. The average purchase price, taking into account all fees, was $109,801 per coin. These funds were raised through the placement of shares as part of a previously announced financing program.

Semler Scientific is engaged in the creation of technological solutions in the field of healthcare aimed at the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases. However, in recent months, the company has been actively expanding its cryptocurrency portfolio, increasingly considering bitcoin as a strategic financial asset.

As of May 22, the total volume of bitcoins on the company's balance sheet reached 4264 BTC. The initial investment in these assets is estimated at approximately $390 million, with an average acquisition cost of $91,471 per unit. Given the current market price, the cryptocurrency in Semler Scientific's possession is worth approximately $474 million.

Thus, the company's return on investment in bitcoin since the beginning of 2025 has reached 25.8%. This confirms the effectiveness of the chosen investment strategy, despite the volatility of the crypto market.

However, along with financial success, Semler also faced legal risks. On May 22, the law firm Bragar Eagel & Squire, PC announced the launch of a preliminary investigation against Semler Scientific. Attorneys are looking into possible violations of federal securities laws, as well as other potentially illegal activities. In this regard, they urged the company's shareholders to contact them for more information.

It is worth recalling that in April of this year, Semler filed a document with the SEC on its intention to issue securities worth up to $500 million. The company openly stated that part of these funds will be used for further investments in Bitcoin.

Thus, Semler Scientific continues its course on integrating digital assets into its financial strategy, despite the growing attention from regulators.
