According to DeFi Llama, on May 26, the volume of transactions on decentralized exchanges powered by BNB Chain reached $13.31 billion. This figure was almost eight times higher than the trading volume on Ethereum ($1.675 billion) and more than five times higher than on Solana ($2.32 billion).
The daily trading volume on the BNB Chain network was higher than that of the ten largest blockchains combined. This surge in activity is likely due to the recent launch of the Binance Alpha platform, which offers users a gamified system for participating in the TGE (Token Generation Event) and the opportunity to receive airdrops.
Binance Alpha participants earn special points, Alpha Points, which are awarded for certain actions, including storing cryptocurrencies in Binance Wallet and for trading activity on the platform itself. These mechanics encourage users to actively interact with the ecosystem, which has led to a sharp increase in trading activity.
According to Dune Analytics, on May 30, BNB Chain accounted for 94.9% of the total trading volume on decentralized platforms among all tracked blockchains. In addition, an increase in the average transaction size was recorded, indicating more serious user involvement.
Binance Wallet also strengthened its position in the Web3 wallet market. Its share in trading volume was 96.2%, which emphasizes the dominant position in the BNB Chain ecosystem.
It is also worth noting the efforts of the project team in the direction of technological development: the first quarter of the BNB AI Hack hackathon, aimed at introducing artificial intelligence into blockchain solutions, was recently completed. The finalists include 13 projects, some of which have already been listed on centralized exchanges, confirming the market's interest in new developments within the BNB Chain.
Thus, thanks to a combination of factors - from innovative products to strong user engagement - BNB Chain has managed not only to bypass its main competitors, but also to set new benchmarks for the entire decentralized finance industry.
