Binance Celebrates Eighth Anniversary and Takes Stock

In eight years, Binance has grown into one of the world's largest cryptocurrency platforms, attracting more than 280 million users from over 100 countries. About a million new people join the exchange every week, which indicates a growing interest in cryptocurrencies and digital finance.
The company notes that its mission from the very beginning was to create financial instruments that help people gain more freedom and opportunity in managing their funds. Now Binance offers a wide range of services - from trading and savings to educational projects and innovative payment solutions in the Web3 sphere.
The total trading volume on the platform has reached an impressive $125 trillion, with an average daily turnover exceeding $91 billion. According to The Block, Binance controls over 41% of the spot crypto trading market as of June 2025. In addition to trading, users actively use Binance Earn for savings, where total payouts amounted to $50 billion, and Binance Pay has processed over 300 million transactions worth $230 billion. Between 2022 and 2024, customers saved $1.75 billion on transfers. The Binance Academy educational platform has helped over 64 million people learn the basics of cryptocurrency.
Security remains a priority: since December 2022, Binance’s security system has prevented around $10 billion in fraudulent transactions and helped to return or freeze over $215 million. The company works closely with law enforcement, having processed over 241,000 requests and conducted over 400 training sessions. Today, almost a quarter of Binance’s employees work in compliance, and the compliance budget will increase by a third in 2025.
In addition, during this period, Binance released a number of new products, including Binance Wallet, Binance Alpha, Launchpool, and Megadrop, which expand user capabilities and support innovation in the ecosystem.
To celebrate its eighth anniversary, Binance and Incrypted Ukraine have launched a contest campaign with a prize pool of $888. The event will feature three contests: Instagram creatives on July 11, stories about first experiences with Binance on July 13, and a mini-quiz on July 13-14. Each contest offers the opportunity to win $88.
