SharpLink Acquires 10,000 ETH from the Ethereum Foundation

Joseph Lubin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SharpLink, co-founder of Ethereum and CEO of Consensys, emphasized that the purchase of ETH is not just a financial transaction, but a strategic move that reflects the company's long-term intentions. According to him, SharpLink actively buys, stakes and re-stakes ETH to strengthen the Ethereum ecosystem, reducing the number of coins in circulation and supporting the development of the network.
Lubin also noted that this deal is the beginning of a large-scale initiative in which organizations with a socially significant mission will be able to contribute to achieving common goals - decentralization, economic empowerment and the development of financial protocols. He emphasized that in an era when Ethereum is gaining institutional significance, SharpLink is proud to support the network’s mission of decentralization and sustainable development.
SharpLink previously announced a larger purchase of over 176,000 ETH, worth approximately $463 million. At the time of publication, Ethereum is trading at around $3,000, making the company’s investment a significant contribution to the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Thus, SharpLink continues to strengthen its position as an important participant in the Ethereum market, demonstrating its commitment to the development and support of blockchain as a next-generation infrastructure.
