According to analyst ZachXBT, the stolen funds were distributed through a large number of addresses and decentralized protocols, which allowed the hackers to cover their tracks.

Similar information was provided by Cyvers Alerts specialists, who monitor threats to blockchains. They recorded suspicious activity from the CoinDCX hot wallet. Transfers were made through a chain of different wallets at high speed, which seriously complicated tracking the direction of funds.

CoinDCX co-founder and CEO Sumit Gupta publicly confirmed the fact of compromise. He noted that the attack affected only the exchange's internal wallet, used to provide liquidity on the partner platform. Client balances were not affected, and user funds remained protected.

The exchange team is currently conducting a detailed investigation of the incident together with external experts. All affected systems have been isolated and frozen to prevent repeated access. CoinDCX reported that it is making every effort to establish the exact scale of the damage and strengthen cybersecurity measures.

The CoinDCX incident is not the only major incident in the industry in recent times. SlowMist specialists recently found out that the BigONE crypto exchange was also hacked. Then the damage amounted to more than $27 million. Both of these incidents highlight the growing threat of cybercrime for the cryptocurrency sector, where assets often remain vulnerable to well-organized attacks.

Experts advise users and companies to actively invest in improving security systems, carefully check wallet activity, and use additional monitoring tools. Any compromise in security can lead to immediate and significant losses, as confirmed by the situation with CoinDCX.

With interest in decentralized finance and cryptocurrencies growing, such incidents force the industry to rethink security standards and look for new solutions to prevent such attacks. CoinDCX, in turn, promised to keep users informed of all the details of the investigation and take all possible steps to return the stolen funds.
