TRON founder Justin Sun took part in the 34th New Shepard mission, organized by Blue Origin. The flight took place in Texas on the morning of August 4 and lasted only ten minutes, but left an unforgettable impression on the participants.

Sun purchased a ticket back in 2021, winning an auction with a bid of $28 million. The flight was originally planned for 2022, but due to schedule changes, the launch was postponed for almost three years. As a result, it became part of the 14th manned mission of the New Shepard project.

Justin Sun was joined into space by Alpha Funds founder JD Russell, entrepreneur Gökhan Erdem, investor Arvi Bahal, meteorologist Deborah Martorell, and philanthropist Lionel Pitchford. Their capsule separated from the rocket three minutes after liftoff, providing a short stay in zero gravity. At 7:53 a.m. local time, Blue Origin confirmed a successful landing.

After returning to Earth, Sun shared his emotions: “I’ve been waiting for this event for four years. I thank Jeff Bezos and his team for the opportunity. When you look at the Earth from space, you realize how fragile it is. This is our common home, and we must protect it.”

His impressions can be described as the “overview effect” - a change in the perception of the world after observing the planet from space. Many astronauts describe it as a moment of enlightenment, when you realize the unity of humanity and the vulnerability of the environment.

Sun noted that he is not going to stop there and hopes to repeat the space journey in the future.

It is worth recalling that Justin Sun is known not only as a crypto entrepreneur, but also as the author of eccentric actions. For example, he once purchased a piece of modern art - a banana taped to a wall - for $6.2 million and then ate it.

Flying with Blue Origin was not just a dream come true for him, but also a new way to draw attention to global issues such as protecting the planet and the future of humanity beyond Earth.
