Ripple has once again found itself in the spotlight on the crypto market — the XRP token has seen a significant decline, breaking through the $3 level. It is currently trading at $2.92 and is trying to return above $2.95, but market sentiment remains clearly bearish.

One of the alarming signals is the drop in the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator, which reflects a decrease in investment interest. A decrease in capital inflows into XRP indicates that market participants are losing confidence in the token's prospects and are actively withdrawing funds. This creates additional pressure on the price and complicates recovery attempts.

The situation is aggravated by the fact that long-term holders of XRP (LTH), who stabilized the price in the past, have begun to massively reduce their positions. The net position of HODLers has reached its lowest in seven months. The selling has intensified since mid-July and, judging by the dynamics, is still ongoing. If such investors continue to sell off, this could trigger similar actions from other market participants.

Technically, XRP is squeezed between resistance at $2.95 and possible support around $2.65. If there is no change in sentiment, the price may well test the lower boundary in the coming days. A breakout of $2.65 will create a threat of further decline and increase pressure on the altcoin.

However, XRP still has a chance to change its trajectory. A consolidation above $2.95 and a subsequent breakout of $3.00 could signal a recovery. In this case, the next target will be $3.41, which will partially compensate for recent losses and weaken the current negative trend.

Investors should closely monitor the behavior of long-term holders and the overall market sentiment. As long as outflow volumes remain high, it is too early to talk about a reversal. XRP is in a vulnerable position, and further developments will depend on the asset’s ability to regain the confidence of market participants.
