Metis will deliver a keynote speech at the ConvictionV Vietnam 2025 conference in Ho Chi Minh City on August 10. CEO Tom Ngo will deliver a speech on “Decentralization and Trust: The Role of Blockchain in AI.” His speech is scheduled for 02:45 UTC (09:45 local time).
The presentation will be part of a larger discussion on how blockchain technologies can support the development of artificial intelligence by providing transparency, security, and decentralization when working with big data and algorithms.
The event was announced on Metis’ official X page (former Twitter), where the company invited everyone interested to join the discussion.
Metis, as a Layer 2 solution based on Ethereum, has already established itself as one of the promising projects that aims to address the current limitations of the Ethereum mainnet. Among such problems are high gas costs, slow transaction processing, and poor scalability. Unlike other solutions, Metis focuses on availability and speed of deployment of decentralized applications.
The Metis infrastructure is based on three key components: oracles, nodes, and subgraphs. Oracles transmit data from the outside world to smart contracts, ensuring interaction between the blockchain and reality. Nodes provide storage and verification of data, enhancing decentralization and reliability. Subgraphs, in turn, simplify working with data using the GraphQL language, allowing developers to quickly find and process the information they need.
The internal token of the ecosystem is METIS of the ERC-20 standard. It is used to pay fees for transactions on the network and serves as a staking tool.
Metis' participation in ConvictionV Vietnam 2025 highlights the growing importance of the intersection of blockchain and AI, two technologies that will shape the future of the digital economy.
