Internet Computer — a step towards a decentralized Internet
Today, August 7, it became known that the Bullish platform is listing the Internet Computer (ICP), a digital asset behind an ambitious project to create a next-generation decentralized Internet.
The Internet Computer project was launched in May 2021 by the DFINITY Foundation. Its goal is to create a scalable and secure infrastructure for hosting decentralized applications (dApps), while offering lower and predictable computing costs compared to traditional blockchains.
The Internet Computer architecture is based on Chain Key Cryptography technology, which ensures fast and secure transaction processing. One of the key components of the system is the Network Nervous System (NNS), which is a decentralized governance mechanism. It allows ecosystem participants to vote on proposals to improve the network, thereby facilitating its development and infinite scaling by adding new nodes.
A distinctive feature of the platform is the reverse gas model: all commissions for transactions are borne by application developers, not users, as is common in most blockchains. In addition, the Internet Computer maintains a high level of anonymity and operates without dependence on centralized cloud services, including through integration with the Bitcoin network at the infrastructure level.
The ICP token plays a key role in the ecosystem. It can be used for staking, in which users form so-called "neurons". These neurons allow you to participate in voting and platform management, while providing the opportunity to receive a reward for active participation.
Thus, the ICP listing on Bullish can significantly expand the project's audience and attract new investors interested in the prospects of Web3 and decentralized computing. Given the technological advantages and unique governance model, the Internet Computer remains one of the most promising solutions in the field of blockchain infrastructure.
