According to Michael van de Poppe, the increased interest in Ethereum is often perceived by investors as a signal of the beginning of a large-scale movement in the altcoin market. The expert notes that against the backdrop of the growth of the second-largest cryptocurrency by capitalization, market participants are starting to actively switch to riskier assets outside of Bitcoin.

He draws attention to the fact that a significant portion of altcoins have not yet reached the levels recorded at the beginning of 2025. This, in his opinion, leaves room for a possible price recovery. At the same time, van de Poppe warns that the positive dynamics will not affect all large digital assets, but in general, the market, in his opinion, is entering a phase of increased demand for risky instruments.

The analyst emphasizes that he is ready to maintain his strategy in favor of altcoins, despite the expected short-term fluctuations. He is convinced that assets with strong fundamentals, high liquidity and an active community will be able to show better results in the current trend.

Van de Poppe also mentioned the influence of macroeconomic factors. In his opinion, if the dollar's position begins to weaken, Ethereum will gain an additional advantage over Bitcoin. The expert explains this by the fact that the Ethereum ecosystem has wide development opportunities, and its application in decentralized finance, smart contracts and Web3 continues to expand.

Thus, the current situation on the crypto market, according to the expert, combines several drivers for the growth of altcoins: the upward trend of Ethereum, growing interest in risky assets and the potential weakening of the dollar. At the same time, van de Poppe urges investors to take volatility into account and be selective in choosing assets, giving preference to those projects that have a clear roadmap, active development and a stable user base.

The expert concluded that, despite the uncertainty of short-term forecasts, fundamental factors indicate a possible continuation of the bullish trend for some altcoins in the coming months. In his opinion, the current stage may become an entry point for those who are ready for moderate risks and long-term holding of positions.
