In early August, the capital of Vietnam hosted a large-scale event GM Vietnam 2025, which attracted over 20 thousand participants from all over the world. The organizers were Kyros Ventures and SSI Digital (SSID) with the support of the National Cyber Security Association (NCA). The event became part of the country's strategy to become the leader of the digital economy in Southeast Asia.
The Vietnamese authorities have already created the foundation for a technological breakthrough by developing the National Blockchain Strategy and adopting the Digital Law. GM Vietnam 2025 became a platform where not only the prospects of blockchain as a technology were discussed, but also its role in building a modern digital infrastructure.
The conference was supported by 37 sponsoring companies, including Sui, BingX, MEXC, Aptos, Gate, TRON, Tether, Polkadot, Manta, CoinEx, Tezos and other well-known projects. The event brought together industry representatives, investors, politicians and experts ready to discuss issues of regulation, innovation and capital raising.
The list of participants was impressive: more than 130 speakers from government agencies, financial institutions and startups; over 200 founders and specialists from Southeast Asia, the USA, the UAE, and South Korea. Key figures included Nguyen Duy Hung (Chairman of SSI), Truong Gia Binh (Head of FPT), Thuat Nguyen (CEO of Kyros Ventures), Quynh Le (Tether) and Virginie Barbeau (Nasdaq Financial Technology). The event was also attended by government officials, including the vice presidents of the NCA and the deputy governor of the State Bank of Vietnam.
The event was covered by over 250 local and international media outlets, highlighting its significance for the region.
In his address, Nguyen Duy Hung recalled Vietnam’s transformation from a centralized economy to a dynamic market economy and called on a new generation of tech entrepreneurs to actively participate in the country’s global digital development. Tuat Nguyen noted that Vietnam has the perfect combination of time, talent, and conditions to become a tech hub in the region, and GM Vietnam gives developers access to the global arena.
SSID CEO Mai Huy Tuan emphasized the importance of innovation to attract long-term investment, accelerate technology adoption in the real sector, and commercialize solutions.
GM Vietnam 2025 demonstrated that the country is ready to not only follow global digital trends, but also set them, leveraging the potential of local talent and international partnerships to strengthen its position in the Web3 sphere.
