According to Fundstrat Capital CIO Thomas Lee, Ethereum will become a key macroeconomic factor over the next 10–15 years. He noted that the combination of the introduction of artificial intelligence into blockchain and the active participation of Wall Street creates conditions for large-scale financial application of this technology.
The company reported that Ethereum has been officially added to the Mag7 & Bitcoin asset group. Experts name the following as the main growth drivers:
• the signing of the stablecoin law by US President Donald Trump, which accelerated the transition of large financial players to blockchain;
• the Project Crypto initiative from the SEC, which involves the formation of new industry rules.
Since the beginning of 2025, Ethereum has shown better dynamics compared to Bitcoin — growth of 28% versus 18%. At the same time, the asset price is only 3-5% from the historical maximum, which, according to Fundstrat, indicates significant potential for further growth.
Experts believe that institutional interest in cryptocurrencies continues to grow. According to Bank of America, only 9% of large capital management companies have already added crypto assets to their portfolios, while gold is held by 48% of such market participants. This leaves room for a large-scale expansion of Ethereum's presence in institutional investments.
To reduce the risks when investing in Ethereum, analysts advise using indirect instruments — shares of spot funds or companies that manage assets based on it. Among them are BitMine, SharpLink Gaming and Ether Machine.
Fundstrat sees a possible easing of the Fed's monetary policy as an additional positive factor. The company estimates that there is a 94% chance of a base rate cut as early as September 2025, which could increase capital inflows into high-risk assets, including Ethereum.
Overall, Fundstrat predicts that ETH could reach the $12,000–$15,000 range by the end of the year, driven by a combination of regulatory changes, technological advances, and institutional demand.
