In August, Bali, Indonesia, turned into the center of the global crypto industry for several days: the Coinfest Asia 2025 festival was held here, which was attended by over 10,000 people from more than 90 countries. The event took place in Nuanu Creative City and became the largest platform where Web3 technologies met music, culture and business.
In two days, participants were able to attend over 100 sessions, more than 300 speeches and about 100 additional events. The agenda included discussions of institutional investments, asset tokenization and the prospects of Web3 in the Asian region.
The stage featured performances from leading companies including Binance, Ripple, Stellar, Fireblocks, Bybit, Polygon, Trust Wallet, X, and BRI Ventures. The organizers noted that the festival had a special atmosphere: during the day, guests participated in trading battles from Pintu, chess tournaments from Anichess, mascot competitions, and debates from Live Degen Sessions, and in the evenings, they were treated to concerts and cultural shows. One of the highlights was the traditional Balinese Parade Ogoh-ogoh, which symbolically connected innovation with local culture.
Binance head of marketing Rachel Conlan noted that Coinfest Asia felt more like a festival than a conference: “There is drive, inspiration, and a unique diversity of participants.” A similar thought was expressed by Polygon CTO Mudit Gupta, who emphasized that the event was a real meeting place for the community, regulators, and users.
Key sponsors of the festival included Binance, Bybit, Gate, Polkadot, Sui, and Coinstore. Their booths were transformed into interactive zones where attendees could interact directly with industry representatives. “Bali is a perfect place to connect the global crypto community with the Indonesian market,” said Kevin Lee, CCO of Gate.
The participation of regulators was of particular note: OJK representatives Mahendra Siregar and Hasan Fauzi were present at the festival. The organization emphasized its support for Coinfest Asia and Indonesia Blockchain Conference as platforms that facilitate the development and regulation of the blockchain industry in the country. According to the organizers, OJK’s presence gave the event a strategic importance for shaping government policy in the field of digital assets.
The festival is already preparing for next year. Felita Setiawan, Director of Indonesia Crypto Network, said that Coinfest Asia is deliberately moving away from the traditional format: “We believe that events can be both productive and fun. This is not just a conference, it is the largest crypto festival where you can experience the culture and make important connections.”
Coinfest Asia 2026 promises to be even bigger, while maintaining the focus on combining innovation, culture and community interaction.
