According to case documents, in February, Bloomberg requested information about Sun's net worth from his representatives in order to include him on its list of billionaires. The journalists found that his accounts held approximately 17,000 BTC, 224,000 ETH, over 60 billion TRX, and approximately 700,000 USDT.

Sun himself claimed that Bloomberg intended to publish unverified and confidential data. On August 11, he filed a lawsuit seeking damages, claiming that the publication of such materials could put him at risk. Shortly thereafter, the businessman's lawyers reported negotiations with Bloomberg, but no compromise was reached.

Judge Colm Connolly sided with Bloomberg and dismissed the claims. According to him, Sun's side failed to provide evidence that the agency had promised to keep the information it received confidential. Furthermore, Connolly noted that the Tron founder himself had repeatedly disclosed details of his cryptocurrency holdings on social media, sometimes in greater detail than Bloomberg had intended. The judge also found arguments about the risk of hacking, phishing, social engineering, and even physical violence unfounded.

Political circumstances are adding to the pressure on Sun. Recently, Democratic Congressmen Jeff Merkley and Sean Casten expressed concern about the businessman's purchase of Donald Trump's WLFI tokens. They believe this could create a conflict of interest for the US President.

Recall that interest in Sun has persisted for several years: in 2023, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) charged him with manipulating the TRX price. These proceedings have seriously damaged his reputation and placed him under scrutiny by US authorities.

Thus, the attempt to conceal information about his wealth proved unsuccessful, and attention to Sun's personality and financial transactions only intensified, both from the media and from politicians and regulators.
