Solana lowered the price of the Saga smartphone to $599

Solana Labs has announced a price reduction for the Saga smartphone to $599. The device appeared on the market in May 2023 at a price of $1,000.
“In April, we introduced Saga with a clear mission to make Web3 accessible to everyone. We continue to work to bring more people into the ecosystem. Today we are announcing a price cut for Saga to $599,” the company said in a statement.
The Solana team also said that lowering the price of a smartphone is the next step towards wider adoption of Web3 and further improving the experience for the mobile community.
The smartphone was presented on April 13, the project is positioned as a "killer" by Google and Apple. Already on May 8, the company announced that everyone can purchase the device.
