On October 14, 2025, the Monad project team officially launched the MON token claim portal. Approximately 230,000 addresses that participated in the development and testing of the ecosystem have received the claim. Claims are open until November 3.

Monad is a layer-one blockchain compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The network's key advantage is its high throughput, reaching 10,000 transactions per second, making it one of the most productive solutions available today.

According to the developers, 5,500 active Monad community members and 225,000 users who participated in the testnet and other project initiatives are eligible for the airdrop. All participants were divided into five categories: large traders on decentralized exchanges, NFT holders, DAO participants, liquidity providers, and users interacting with DeFi protocols. A snapshot from September 30, 2025, was used to record the data.

The developers emphasized that they focused only on "real users" during the selection process and employed special methods to filter out sybil accounts. The team focused on activity in key DeFi protocols requiring long-term investment, as well as traders with large transaction volumes and holders of well-known NFT collections.

In addition, off-chain indicators were taken into account, such as verified social profiles, participation in Web3 educational and community initiatives, and contributions to the development of security research and public goods.

Currently, the total supply of MONAD and the proportion of tokens allocated for the airdrop have not been officially disclosed. However, futures data on the Hyperliquid platform indicates that the coin's full diluted market cap (FDV) is valued at $6.9 billion.

According to Kevin McCordick, head of development at the Monad Foundation, the process of claiming tokens is extremely simple: simply enter your details and then wait for the mainnet launch, after which the tokens will automatically appear in your wallet.

He also announced that a special event will be held on October 28th where eligible wallets will be able to learn the exact number of coins allocated to them. The claim will remain available until November 3rd.

As a reminder, Monad Labs previously raised $225 million in a funding round in April 2024, allowing the team to accelerate the development and scaling of the project's infrastructure.
