As part of the Onchain Summer program dedicated to the launch of the Base main network, the Coinbase crypto exchange announced the release of the “Masterpiece” NFT collection jointly with the beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola.

The collection includes eight NFTs, including the classic paintings The Scream by Edvard Munch and Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer. All elements are created through the mint.fun platform, their cost varies from 0.0011 to 0.014 ETH. At the time of writing, there are about 50,000 different NFTs released.

As part of the Onchain Summer program, the Coinbase exchange has allocated grants for Base developers and announced a virtual hackathon from August 4 to 18 with a prize pool of $125,000.

This is not the first NFT collection featuring Coca-Cola. In July 2021, the company put up four NFTs for a charity auction and raised about $575,000. In August 2022, it introduced a series of art tokens in honor of Friendship Day. Recently, the Serbian branch of Coca-Cola announced a partnership with the SolSea NFT platform.

Meanwhile, Base has surpassed 100,000 active users and reached $130 million in TVL as of August 14, 2023.
