What is known about this fight at the time of writing?
At the end of June 2023, Elon Musk said he was ready to meet Zuckerberg "in a cage." Meta's CEO responded by suggesting that the competitor "send geolocation," according to Verge editor Alex Heath.

Speaking to TMZSports, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White noted that both parties to the dispute are more than serious.

In early July 2023, the NYT, citing its sources, stated that negotiations on organizing the fight were almost completed.

However, at the end of the month, Reuters, citing a record of internal negotiations of the Meta management, noted that the chances of a real duel are rather small.

On August 6, Elon Musk rekindled audience interest in the event by announcing that the fight would be broadcast on platform X, with all profits going to help veterans.

In response, Zuckerberg proposed a date for the fight - August 26. But Musk has not commented on this. As a result, the CEO of Meta noted that the owner of X was not serious, and it was time for both of them to move on.

The feud of two heads of tech companies
The rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg began back in 2014, according to the NYT. The head of Tesla publicly criticized Meta's commercial products, and also expressed doubts about the competence of the company's CEO.

The feud between the two lasted for some time, but after Musk's purchase of the social network Twitter, the conflict only escalated. As a result, the owner of the platform threatened Zuckerberg with a court on charges of plagiarism after the release of the Threads application.
