Bitget has unveiled an update that significantly changes how tokenized stocks are handled: trading in these assets is now conducted on the faster and cheaper BNB Smart Chain (BSC) network, rather than Ethereum. According to the team, this change is aimed at simplifying access to stock tokens and improving the trading experience, especially for those trading Nvidia, Tesla, and other major issuers. Along with the migration, the exchange also extended the zero-fee promotion until January 16, 2026, thereby extending the trading grace period.
Starting December 1, 2025, all tokenized stock trades will automatically be processed on the BSC network. This eliminates the high gas fees typical of Ethereum and makes trading more profitable. The developers believe that the combination of low network costs and zero trading fees allows traders to maximize profits even with large volumes of trades.
Bitget CEO Gracie Chen emphasized that the migration was a response to community requests for a more accessible trading infrastructure. According to her, BSC ensures the necessary order processing speed, and extending the fee-free period gives traders the chance to experience the benefits of the updated system without financial pressure.
Exchange representatives noted that the timing of the change is opportune. Over the past period, trading volume for tokenized shares has increased by 446%, demonstrating growing interest in instruments that bridge the traditional and crypto markets. Bitget sees this as confirmation that users are seeking a more flexible model for interacting with assets, without excessive costs and barriers to access.
The company also reported that the move to BSC helps strengthen UEX—a unified trading ecosystem encompassing cryptocurrencies, securities tokens, and real assets. The project aims to unite markets within a single infrastructure, making it easier for traders to navigate between trading instruments and choose the right strategy without complications. The ecosystem currently has over 120 million users, and Bitget expects the update to attract even more participants.
Traders can already take advantage of an extended grace period, during which trading commissions, gas fees, and hidden fees are waived for any order type. The company believes this opens up space for users to test new features and gain their own trading experience on more favorable terms than before.
