The Ukrainian Nomadz team announced the closing of an investment round, with the Solana Foundation as a key participant. In a comment to Incrypted, the startup's representatives emphasized that this is the foundation's first investment in a project with Ukrainian roots. The deal marks an important milestone in Nomadz's development and confirms the global Web3 ecosystem's interest in products created in Ukraine.
In addition to the Solana Foundation, private investors associated with the Solana ecosystem, as well as the Ukrainian Kumeka Team, participated in the round. The project is also supported by partners such as Circle, Metaplex, Solana Labs, Mad Lads, and other industry representatives interested in developing Web3 infrastructure solutions.
Nomadz positions itself as a crypto-native travel platform powered by the Solana blockchain. The project was founded by Ukrainian entrepreneurs Ivan Maltsev and Vlad Poltavets and is aimed at users who actively travel the world, work remotely, and engage in the Web3 environment. One of the service's key features is on-chain trip tracking, which creates a digital user identity—the Nomad ID. It includes a system of experience, levels, and NFT rewards reflecting the owner's activity and travel style.
The team plans to use the raised investment to further develop the product, expand functionality, and scale the platform into new markets. According to Nomadz representatives, the service already allows you to book accommodation at prices that can be significantly lower than those offered by traditional travel platforms—in some cases, the difference reaches 60%.
The platform supports payments via Stripe and USDC on the Solana network. When paying with the stablecoin, users can additionally save up to 5% thanks to lower fees. Nomadz currently provides access to over one million accommodations in various countries, making it competitive even with large centralized aggregators.
The team's immediate plans include launching a mobile app in the Solana dApp Store and hosting the first Nomadz co-living experience for Catlumpurr, which will take the form of a 3-5-day event hosted by Jupiter in late January. Furthermore, the startup intends to launch its own flight aggregator in the first or second quarter and expand cryptocurrency support within the Solana network.
Incrypted previously reported that 31 investment agreements in the crypto industry were recorded between December 13 and 20, 2025, highlighting continued investor interest in promising Web3 projects.
