Between August 21 and 25, 2023, eleven projects raised investments totaling $40.6 million, according to data from CryptoRank and DropsTab.
In particular, during the week funding received:
$16.5 million - Ideogram AI. The developers of the generative artificial intelligence tool announced the completion of the seed round, which was led by a16z and Index Ventures.
$13.4 million - Anytype. The Berlin-based company announced the closing of a funding round led by Balderton Capital with participation from Inflection, Square One, Script Capital, Protocol Labs, Connect Ventures, New Forge and Foreword VC. The attracted investments will be used to “make digital sovereignty accessible” and further development of the platform.
$5 million - Maple Finance. The crypto lender has raised funds in a funding round co-led by BlockTower Capital and Tioga Capital. The Spartan Group, Framework Ventures, Maven 11 Capital, GSR Ventures, Cherry Ventures, Veris Ventures also became investors. The new financing is planned to be used to expand its presence in Asia and Latin America.
$3.8 million - Raleon. Web3 engagement platform closes seed funding round led by Blockchange Ventures. Alliance DAO, Play Ventures, Portal Ventures also became investors. The new capital is planned to be used to help brands, games and decentralized applications retain users with their Embedded Quests product.
$1.9 million - Hungri Games. The mobile games studio has raised funds in a seed funding round led by Bogazici Ventures with participation from Roko Finance, Preston Labs, Triple Dragon and private investors. After receiving the investment, the startup's valuation rose to $23 million. The new capital will help the studio expand its portfolio and develop several games.
A number of other projects attracted funding, but did not disclose the amount of investment.
Singapore platform Uxuy has announced the closing of its funding round. The project team said that they plan to use the funds received to expand activities.
Binance Labs Venture Fund has funded the Delphinus Lab startup behind the development of zkWASM. The funds will be used to work on the Delphinus Lab zkWASM Hub platform.
The fixed income protocol Pendle Finance has also received funding from Binance Labs. The new capital will go toward adding more networks to the protocol. At the time of writing, Pendle Finance supports three blockchains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain.
The Lumina DEX platform has attracted strategic funding. Investors included the Mina Foundation, Jump Crypto, Big Brain Holdings, and O(1) Labs. The company intends to use the funds to create a decentralized exchange based on the Mina protocol with built-in KYC.
Startup Irreverent Labs, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to create content, has received funding from Samsung Next. According to Irreverent Labs CEO Rahul Soda, they have decided to partner with Samsung in part to gain access to its portfolio companies that may use its API in the future.
Cryptoworth, a cryptocurrency solutions company, has attracted strategic investment. Polygon Fund, Kyber Network, Saison Capital, ODA Capital took part in the funding round led by CMT Digital. The funding will solidify Cryptoworth's recognition in the digital asset ecosystem, according to the company.
