Tech startup TRLab has completed its seed funding round, raising $5 million. The project has received funding from OKX Ventures, Hivemind Capital and HashKey Capital, The Block reported.

According to the source, TRLab aims to popularize digital art in Web3. It has branches in New York and Hong Kong, but the firm operates worldwide.

TRLab implemented projects in partnership with Vogue, the Calder Foundation, artist Cai Guo-Qiang, and the New York affiliate of the New Rhizome Museum.

“TRLab has always held a special place among Web3 platforms. Against the backdrop of strong demand for digital art, it contributes to a deeper understanding of creativity and individual artists,” said co-founder Audrey Ou.

TRLab plans to use the funds raised to attract new artists and partner with digital art companies. In addition, the company will focus on expanding its global footprint, TRLab said in a statement.

In August 2023, the ElmonX platform released a digital version of the painting "Savior of the World" worth over $450 million.
