Crypto exchange Binance announced that it will pay $100 in BNB to all verified clients from Libya. The country was hit by severe flooding, killing between 3,000 and 5,300 people.

In total, the platform will allocate $500,000 for this initiative. To receive financial assistance, you need to provide proof of address (PoA) from Libya.

Those users who passed verification before September 11, 2023 will receive $100. If proof of address is submitted after this date, the site will transfer $25 directly to the client's account.

In addition, all Binance users who conduct transactions in Libya will receive $10. Payouts will be issued in BNB.

According to the exchange's estimates, the initiative will cover about 13,000 people. At the same time, Binance has created an account for donations. The company will transfer all the money to a non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization.

It should be noted that the Binance Charity Foundation allocated about $3 million under similar conditions to support victims of the earthquake in Morocco.
